About the initiative

A welcome wide enough for recovery.

Learn how the Recovery Congregation Network helps faith communities welcome, support, and walk alongside people affected by substance use disorder.

About the initiative

Faith communities can help change what recovery feels like.

Recovery Congregations are houses of worship that welcome and walk alongside people affected by substance use disorder—with training and support from NARR and its partners.

The problem & the hope

Recovery starts with belonging.

Addiction is a treatable disease and a manageable condition—never a moral failure. Faith communities are uniquely positioned to offer what recovery needs most: belonging, hope, and people who stay.

A seat at the table can be the beginning of a different story.

A shared way forward

No congregation has to build alone.

The network brings congregations, State Advisors, NARR affiliates, and ministry partners into a shared community of practice. Each community can begin where it is and grow with support.

Start with one conversation. Build from there.
